The recruiter is responsible for supporting the recruiting and professional relations of our offices. This position will assist with screening applicants, update the applicant tracking system, manage an interview calendar, coordinate with supervisors to handle interviews, send on-boarding documents, verify I-9’s and working with candidates to ensure all on-boarding and credentialing are completed prior to the candidate starting. This role will also assist with internal relationship building and management.

Essential Functions:

  • Meets with supervisors to develop specific recruiting strategies and plans to achieve optimal staffing level
  • Works closely with directors and managers within the company to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs and coordinate on corporate initiatives.
  • Participates in development of an annual recruiting budget and exercises fiscal responsibility and being a good steward of corporate dollars
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college and university placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants
  • Schedules and attends job/career/vendor fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants and executes an on-site and post-event follow up plan
  • Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Screens and refers qualified applicants to supervisor for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, and job skills
  • Contacts potential applicants through various media. including social media, telephone calls, emails, etc.
  • Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary and attends events for on-site support
  • Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics
  • Maintains records on recruiting activities as required and consistently updates notes within appropriate channels for all teammates to access and see the progress (e.g., Jobvite, applicant tracker)
  • Completes weekly/monthly reports on recruitment activity including event and pertinent ROI information to track cost-per-hire
  • Schedules candidates for HR and Supervisor interviews and on-line assessments, as appropriate
  • Track progress of candidates through interviewing process
  • Perform applicant background checks including, but not limited to, reference checks and verification of employment
  • Responsible for preparing, sending, and verifying all on-boarding documentation for prospective employees
  • Confirm and maintain new hire I-9 verification
  • Sends welcome e-mail with new hire doctors once a month
  • Assists with developing advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  • Types and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.
  • Keep current of employers' changing staffing needs and impending opportunities
  • Participate in recruitment efforts by tracking effectiveness of outside advertisements such as Glassdoor, Indeed, and other recruitment sources used
  • Follows up with the related clerical aspects of employment, such as completing of health, employment and insurance forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with internal doctors to generate long term careers with Dental Depot
  • Assists in developing and conducting training programs for doctors with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
  • Schedules and organizes activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, luncheons, and department activities.

  • Establishes, develops, maintains, and updates filing system for recruiting and professional relations. Retrieves information from files when needed.
  • Assists with inputting time off requests, tracks remaining time off, and reports
  • Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees.
  • This position may complete other administrative tasks assigned by the Manager of Talent Acquisition.
  • Complies with Dental Depot policies and procedures, OSHA policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as HIPAA rules and regulations.
