Asahi Refining USA, Inc. hasa full-time Chemist position available. The chemist position is responsiblefor conducting all procedures related tothe operation of all analytical instrumentation.
Thisposition has the following responsibilities:
Â· Prepares samples for instrumental analysis.
Â· Conducts routine instrumental analysis.
Â· Recognizes the need for improvement or development ofinstrumental analysis procedures of samples received.
Â· Prepare routine samples as needed.
Â· Help with the coordination of sample preparation withLaboratory technicians.
Â· Help maintain control of the Laboratory chemicalinventory to verify proper storage and labelling.
Qualificationsfor this position are:
Â· Bachelorâ€™s degree in Chemistry preferred. Physics, EarthScience, Select Life Sciences or Select Engineering degrees will beconsidered.
Â· One-year industrial lab experience, or one-year college chemistrycurriculum.
Â· Goodverbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.
Â· Abilityto work in a team environment in close quarters and support the efforts of theteam.
